My Personal Passions and Achievements
I have a passion for travelling, and love taking photos as I go! I've travelled to 10 countries over 4 continents for travel as well as service when I went to South Africa for a Young Round Square Leadership Conference. Below are a collection of photos I've taken during my travels.
Resilience is extremely important in life because without resilience the first time we received any feedback that is meant to be helpful or an insult then we might just give up on life/everything. We need resilience to keep us going and to keep us pushing for more opportunities and chances to improve ourselves and grow as a person. Rowing is a huge part of my life and something I love doing. At the Schuykill Regata in Philidelphia this past fall my boat came in second in the freshmen women's eight race! Rowing has taught me to be a more resilient and determined person, further growing the resilient characteristic of the IB learner that I am.
Other Extracurricular activities! I'm in a variety of extracurricular activities such as snowboarding, Model United Nations, I'm the executive member of the Women in Science and Engineering club, I'm a math tutor, I volunteer with special needs students, and play the violin and trumpet. These activities are all huge parts of my life and things that have caused me to grow into the person I am. For example, Model United Nations has made me a more globally minded person who understands more of how the world works and how the issues facing our leaders are handled.
Branksome Hall is an IB and university prepatory school, and becoming a student at Branksome has given me a tremendous amount of opportunities to explore my passions and try new things, as well as growing as a person to represent the IB learner characteristics such as an inquirer, knowledgeable, a communicator, reflective, and resilient. Branksome Hall has also taught me a lot about the importance of understanding information and to work hard beyond the information given.

My Personality Test Results
After looking at all my extracurricular activities they seem a little bit all over the place and random, but I have a passion for helping others at the heart of everything I do and want to apply this to the rest of the work I do in my life. My personality is as unpredictable as my activities, and my test results from JVIS and Myers Briggs show that I am someone who represents a lot of contradicting behaviours and traits, which makes me very unpredictable. What remains is that I'm intuitive, logical, and an inquirer. I always like to be learning more, but when it comes down to a decision my gut will go with how I am feeling and what my experience has taught me, as shown in the tests results below.
After reading about what it really means to be a protagonist I know it truly is me, as I've learned protagonists truly care and believe in the people around them deeply, and want to help others so that they can be the best possible people they can be and accomplish everything they want. Sometimes protagonists get too attached to others dreams or are dissapointed when their efforts don't change a person to become more motivated like they are, but always continue to work very hard for what they want. I know after reading about this personality type that I am definetly one of the 2% of the population of the world that has a personality like this and am very happy to be so strongly motivated and caring for others.
Recently as I've been looking towards my future and selecting courses, I've realized that when I get older I want to become a doctor. I want to make a difference and help others, as shown in my Myers Briggs test, but also shown through my true interests in subjects such a biology, math, and sciences which are shown in my JVIS test results. They also connect to my work styles, showing I am hard working and have strong stamina, which are important for being a doctor. This test didn't change what I wanted to do, and has only solidified my belief that medicine is the right path for me as when combining my personality traits with my interests, which the JVIS test does, I've been given the results that I should go into medicine. I have a passion for helping others and have found in my MYP courses that I love biology, so I believe going into medicine is the best way for me to follow my passion in a subject field that I am very curious about.
